Meet your therapist, Angela
After completing two Master’s degrees in psychotherapy both in the United States and abroad in the UK, I launched my private practice in San Diego, CA two weeks before the city went on lock down in 2020. The tiny room I rented in the back of a yoga studio closed down and I was redirected to take my practice outdoors. I met with the families and women I began my practice with under the shade of the beautiful trees in Kate Sessions Park and shortly after started offering walk & talk sessions on the Bay and Beaches of San Diego. Virtual therapy started becoming readily accessible in 2020 and I added that option to my practice. In 2021, I had my first child and that changed the direction of the focus of my work. I completed a Perinatal Mental Health certificate through Postpartum Support International and partnered with a local birth center to provide comprehensive mental health care for families. I have experience walking alongside Mama’s who:
have experienced Postpartum Psychosis and are trying to reintegrate into their lives
are struggling with isolation and loneliness in Motherhood due to strained family or friendships
have experienced multiple pregnancy losses and feel stuck & hopeless
are experiencing sadness, grief, or depression on a scale and intensity they have never experienced before
are trying to cope with levels of anxiety that are limiting or preventing them from showing up the way they desire to in Motherhood.
are committed to changing and healing through generational trauma
experienced a birth injury that has impacted their postpartum period and connection with their baby
are learning new ways to shift in comparison traps & shame spirals
need support navigating changes in their relationship with their partner in couple’s therapy
You are allowed to grow & change during your time of conceiving, birthing and raising children. Motherhood is a ripe time for personal development.

The ritual of meeting weekly, every other week or monthly often becomes the first step of returning home to yourself.
Adjusting expectations, softening perfectionism, and taming the inner critic are familiar roads we will travel down together in therapy.
